Terms of service.

This page will answer your questions regarding A Hymn to Ahimsa (henceforth referred to as “AHA”) terms of service. It is your responsibility to fully understand the terms and conditions for each of our retreats/events set out at ahymntoahimsa.com (henceforth referred to as “the website”). Should you have questions regarding the terms and conditions of AHA, we are available for consultation and would be happy to clarify any areas in advance of signing a contract with us.

PAYMENT TERMS, CANCELLATIONS , ITINERARY CHANGES, ROOMING, TRAVEL

1. Retreat Pricing + Itinerary Changes
All prices are per person and are set well in advance of the retreat start date. Prices vary depending on a variety of cost factors. You can always find pricing on the website. Prices include retreat/event costs only; they do not include travel to and from the retreat/event (unless noted on the website). AHA believes in fair pricing for all retreat attendees – all prices are set and non-negotiable.

While every effort is made to keep to all published itineraries, we reserve the right to make changes for your convenience. In some cases, weather conditions or “acts of god” (e.x. pandemic) can necessitate an alteration in the event itinerary, such as the dates of the retreat, and this does not constitute any reason for refund. No refund for unused services will be considered.

For example, if there are government travel restrictions due to an “act of god” (e.g. weather, pandemic) we will need to change the itinerary/dates to a later time when we can travel without restrictions. We do not offer refunds for itinerary changes to new dates. In the event you can’t make the new itinerary dates, we will offer you a full credit for use on any A Hymn to Ahimsa Retreat/Event that is valid for two years. A Hymn to Ahimsa reserves the right to correct printing errors or omissions at any time, unaffected portions will continue to remain valid.

2. Strict Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel your retreat you must notify AHA in writing by contacting ahymntoahimsa@gmail.com. Your cancellation fee will be determined according to the terms outlined in the chart below. Exceptions to our cancellation policy cannot be made for ANY reason, including weather, terrorism, civil unrest, Zika virus, health changes, personal emergencies or otherwise. There is no refund for arriving late or leaving a trip early.

3. Transfer Policy

You may transfer your reservation from one AHA Retreat to another AHA Retreat up to three (3) months before the original listed Retreat Start Date without penalty, after which time our strict cancellation policy applies.

4. Retreat Cancellations
AHA reserves the right to make any changes deemed necessary; including, but not limited to: AHA staffing assignments, advertised excursions, arranged transportation, advertised meals, etc. In the rare case of a AHA Retreat cancellation, AHA will offer a transfer to another AHA retreat or a full refund of your payment to AHA. AHA is not responsible for any expenses or damages incurred as a result of retreat cancellation including preparation costs, airline tickets, travel documents or other expenses. AHA reserves the right to cancel any retreat prior to departure in the event that there are too few people booked, in which case you will be given a full refund of any and all payments made to AHA. You will not be entitled to claim any additional amounts or seek any compensation for any injury, loss, expenses or damages (either direct or consequential) or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation (including but not limited to visa, passport and vaccination charges, or departure, gear purchases, airport and airline taxes).

6. Travel Documents and Immunizations
It is the responsibility of each traveler to obtain all required travel documents including Visas unless otherwise noted. Information regarding necessary documentation is provided as necessary on our website or you can contact us for more detailed information. It is your responsibility to purchase correct immunizations. Please contact your nearest travel clinic for the latest requirements.

7. Roommate Assignments
Retreat Rates are per person. Double, triple, quad, bunk or otherwise advertised shared rooms require shared occupancy for the specified room rate. If you book a shared room without specified roommate(s), we will do our very best to match you with your desired room type and price point. In the event we can’t find you a roommate for your first pick, we will present you with different rooming options.
